To better understand the Montessori method,
it can be viewed as a triangle made up of three key parts:
the child, the prepared learning environment, and the educator.

the child
The child grows and develops through active interaction with the educator and the environment. Maria Montessori believed every child is born with an inner teacher: a natural guide that drives curiosity, exploration, and independence.
In the Montessori environment, our children learn not through passive lectures, but by actively observing, absorbing, and engaging with their educators, who thoughtfully present materials, respond to each child’s needs, and model respect through their actions. Modern neuroscience confirms this insight, showing that children’s brains grow best through active exploration, repetition, and self-correction.
EDUCATOR
The educator plays a unique role within this setting: not only preparing and maintaining the environment, but also observing the child and offering guidance when needed.
Teachers are encouraged to show warmth, sensitivity, and uphold high standards in the classroom. Within this supportive structure, children are given the freedom to choose their own activities. To ensure this environment functions effectively, teachers must understand how to use Montessori materials, which requires specialised training.

ENVIRONMENT
In Montessori education, the environment is often described as the “third teacher,” alongside the child and the adult. Our classrooms are carefully prepared by Montessori-trained educators, guided by research showing that an orderly and predictable environment supports children’s development, especially during their sensitive period for order.
We provide a wide range of hands-on learning materials that allow children to explore, practice, and grow with confidence. Our experienced and well-trained teachers observe closely and interact mindfully, offering support that positively impacts each child and meets their individual needs.
