EXTENDED CARE & ENRICHMENT
Serving ages 18 months to 6 years.
We offer the flexibility of an all-day program with extended hours for both toddlers and preschoolers. The Extended Day provides a relaxed four-hour setting where children can nap, enjoy a snack, play, or unwind with indoor activities such as toys and games.
Morning and After School Care
We understand that many working families need care beyond the regular school schedule. Our Extended Day program runs from 8:00 a.m. until school begins and after school until 6:00 p.m., offering a balance of indoor and outdoor activities.
Enrollment is required in advance so we can ensure proper staffing, and the program is not available for drop-in care.
Please contact the Head of School for enrollment details.

Final pick-up. We kindly ask families to arrive on time, as young children feel most secure with predictable routines and the reassurance of their caregivers.
When pick-up is late or unexpected, it can cause distress, loneliness, and insecurity to your child. Over time, repeated late pick-ups may affect a child’s trust in routines and their sense of reliability in relationships.By arriving on time, you help your child feel safe and respected, and support our teachers in closing the day smoothly.

After School Enrichment
In 2024, Blissdale introduced a new enrichment program dedicated to music education. The program is led by Ms. Allicia Lim, an experienced and certified Musikgarten teacher, and is open to children from toddler through preschool age in the afternoons. Selected for its strong alignment with Montessori principles, the program supports the holistic development of each child through the joy of music and movement.

About Musikgarten
Musikgarten was founded in Germany in 1994 by Dr. Lorna Lutz Heyge (German musicologist and educator), and Audrey Sillick from England (founder and director of the Toronto Montessori Teacher Training Institute in 1971). Their meeting brought together Dr. Heyge’s expertise in early childhood music and Sillick’s deep understanding of Montessori principles. This unique partnership shaped a curriculum that blends music and movement with the Montessori framework of hands-on, child-centered learning.
After establishing Musikgarten in Germany, the founders introduced the program to the United States, where it quickly gained recognition for its quality and research-based approach. While Audrey Sillick’s Montessori influence continues to guide the curriculum even after her passing in 2014, Dr. Heyge remains active in training teachers internationally. Today, Musikgarten carries forward their vision of nurturing children’s development through music in a way that honors both Montessori values and the joy of learning.
